In the cutest and most awkward situation to happen to a royal in a while, Prince William was denied giving a four year old Glasgow girl a kiss on the cheek. Little Shona Ritchie had been waiting all morning to meet Kate and William, and according to her family had been dying to ask for a kiss. Yet when the time came, little Shona chickens out leaving Wills high and dry. At least he's charming enough to see the funny side of it.
The royal pair were at a visit to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow yesterday, and Kate had more success with the shy Shona, having a little chat and getting the flower she denied William. 'She said Shona looked very pretty and asked her if she had picked the flower from her garden, but Shona told her she got it from my vase in the house and she thought that was very funny.' said her mum Karen. From the looks of it the future King and Queen are lining themselves up to be excellent parents.
Meanwhile Kate has been quoted as struggling to find a name for the baby, constantly getting texts from friends with suggestions. Fingers crossed they shy away from any of the motley crew of names doing the rounds.
