St. Andrews is a rough town.
Police had to come to the rescue of a mother duck and her nine ducklings in the Scottish town after they got trapped by traffic in the middle of the high street.
The police were filmed by a research student in the town who said: '‘I just started filming. It was a dramatic moment. It was interesting and a bit surreal. The police did a good job. They managed to get the ducks off the road quite quickly.'
Someone's going to inevitably complain about the misuse of police time and how it could be better spent helping solve crimes etc., but to that we say, what's more important, solving crimes or making sure these ducks get to safety and keep the ecosystem intact. Exactly.
