Poor Andrew Wiggins, someone needs to give this guy a hug.
Before all the cynics out there start, yeah sure the kid is a millionaire and is probably destined for great things in the NBA, but still, it's not a nice feeling knowing that your team is trying to trade you away.
Now, this is a very unique situation in that Andrew Wiggins is one of the most promising talents in basketball, and was the first choice in the draft this year, so he's very highly rated. However, in case you missed the news, LeBron James is heading back to his former team, Cleveland, and they are looking to bring in a few players who can help them win a championship sooner rather than later.
Since that plan doesn't seem to include waiting for Wiggins to mature and prove himself at the highest level, they're making a trade to bring in Kevin Love from Minnesota, and the makeweight in the deal is the young and talented Wiggins, if rumours are to be believed.
He was on an ESPN talk show being interviewed and was asked "Do you think that Cleveland wants you?". The aftermath is terribly awkward, as Wiggins clearly realises the answer to the question is probably no, but he has to say yes to toe the party line. Not confidently mind...
