The clip has gone viral, with plenty of comments on social media saying that Messi deliberately ignored him, others claiming that he didn't see him, and still yet others claiming that we've all dreamed the whole thing in some form of collective unconscious and that we're simply trapped in this realm where the reality we take to be concrete is nothing more than an illusion. However, while that young lad in the video above missed his opportunity and will probably cry himself to sleep for the coming months, Messi, being a sound lad, did in fact go back to shake the hand of the mascots, but the kid who stepped forward previously had moved off somewhere else. Tragic...
