Jumping off a building with nothing but your faith in maths and physics to save you is something only MacGyver would do.
Physicist Andreas Wahl is therefore our new MacGyver, seeing as he let himself be dropped 14 meters towards the ground with nothing but a loose rope with a weight on the end to save him. Apparently the science that stops him from going splat has something to do with things rotating faster as approach a central point.
We don't really understand the science of it to be perfectly honest, but we're glad to see it worked for him. We certainly won't be trying it ourselves (and neither should you).
