This may sound like a Tyler Durden situation but trust us, it's a whole lot dumber than that.
According to The Oregonian, Aleksander R. Tomaszewski complained that he was beaten by cops while in custody pending interview on charges of stalking and sexual abuse, going so far as to want to press charges and signing a statement alleging police brutality. That quickly changed when he was told that there had been a camera recording him while he was in a holding cell and he was shown the footage which showed him punching himself repeatedly in the face.
Tomaszewski then pleaded guilty to charges of attempted coercion and filing a false report, receiving a 20-day prison sentence, a $600 fine and three years probation. The previous charges that brought him in were later dismissed.
