If you're looking to buy your little daughter/niece/grand-daughter something different than the oft maligned Barbie this Christmas and have hopes and dreams of them becoming an engineer or an architect than take a look at this video. Alternatively, if you liked the Beastie Boys track 'Girls' from 1987 you might also enjoy it.

The company behind this amazingly smart and well-crafted advertisement are called GoldieBlox and they market themselves as creating 'toys for future inventors.' It's great to see marketing aimed at young girls that's outside the realm of the usual channels and also something that could be, dare I say it, termed 'girl power' that doesn't involve a discussion of either Miley Cyrus or Sinead O'Connor.
