Ah Lindsay Lohan, we don’t know what the scéal is with you anymore.
Lohan has managed to get into a dispute with the small British town of Kettering. The Mean Girls actress criticised the town’s decision to leave the EU back in June, tweeting ‘Sorry Kettering but where are you?’ in a now deleted post.
The message riled a local Conservative MP named Philip Hollobone, who brought the matter up in Parliament later that week. He then invited the actress to make up for her comment by switching on the town’s Christmas lights.
While Lindsay happily accepted, a spokesperson for the Kettering Borough Council said Lohan’s management team were not giving them a definite answer, even with November 24th, the date of the lighting ceremony, drawing close.
On the day, hours before the ceremony, using the popular flower headband filter, Lindsay posted Happy Holidays to Kettering but said she would be unable to turn on the lights. ‘I really wanted to make it but with my busy schedule I wasn’t able to and I appreciate the offer,’ she said.

Ex-Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison lit up the town instead.
Maybe it’s just as well as according to Maggie Don, a Labour Party councillor of Kettering, the people living there were indifferent to Lohan’s presence. ‘I don’t think they give a sh-t, to be honest,’ she said, ‘They don’t know who she is.’ Burn.
