Earlier in the week, Kanye West stirred controversy by claiming that slavery 'was a choice' for black people. Since then, there’s been a petition calling for Adidas to boycott the rapper and even a fan theory that the comments were part of a performance art piece.
Now momager and in-law to Kanye, Kris Jenner, has appeared on The Ellen Show to talk about whether he “is ok.”
In what was not dissimilar to a press release, she said: “Kanye has a lot of love for all of you, all of his fans, and everybody who’s been there to support him forever. And, I know that he will explain himself in his own way.
“I think that anything he does—and I just think this is important to say is—he always does things with really good intentions. So, I’m going to let him explain himself when the time is ready and I just keep rolling on trying to keep up… with the Kardashians.”
While on the show, Kris also spoke about her daughter Khloe, who recently gave birth to a baby whose father, Tristan Thompson, was found to be unfaithful just before the birth.
Reflecting what Kim Kardashian said on The Ellen Show earlier in the week, Kris said: “She’s just concentrating on that; just being a mom, her baby… She’s so excited about motherhood and trying to get the nursing thing down… She’s figuring it out one day at a time.”
