As to be expected after winning Best Variety Series at the Emmys last night, John Oliver was in terrific spirits as he fielded questions from journalists backstage.
First up was the journalist who quizzed him about the reposnsibility involved with being a late night host. Oliver addressed him as 'dad'.

Then there was the Australian journalist that wanted to do a bit of Donald Trump bashing.

The pièce de résistance though was Oliver's response as to whether or not he feels responsible for the rise of Trump.

And finally, Oliver shared that he did have one big disappointment on the night and it involved Beyonce.
