Hey, it's not all bad for Donald - Vladimir Putin's just endorsed him (more on that in a minute). And for those thinking "this is the American Presidential Debate, sure this has nothing to do with us here"; this is the man who is vying to get his mitts on the big red button that sets off all the missiles. This effects all of us.
The first things Kimmel did last night was ascertain if Trump was acting alone, or if anyone attempted to talk him out of, publicly saying let's temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States. After Trump said "many" of his "muslim friends" called him to support his plan, Jimmy has a zinger response in the form of: "Isn’t it un-American and wrong to discriminate against people based on their religion?" By way of a retort, Trump says: "We have people coming into our country that are looking to do tremendous harm. These people did not come from Sweden, OK?"
In the next snippet, Jimmy addresses Trump's plan to send every illegal alien back to where they came from, and build a wall between the US and Mexico (Trump is now choosing to call it "a big beautiful door") and gets his right-hand-man Guillermo involved.
And, because this is The Jimmy Kimmel Show, he then read a book he'd ghost written for Trump, but not before addressing Tom Brady's balls, if Trump is a fan of Star Wars ("I don't really have time for this"), and going through Trump's recent sterling medical report, which was issued by this man...
As for Putin's endorsement, the Russian president reportedly said of Trump during an annual press conference in Moscow: "He’s a really brilliant and talented person, without any doubt. It’s not our job to judge his qualities, that’s a job for American voters, but he’s the absolute leader in the presidential race... He says he wants to move on to a new, more substantial relationship, a deeper relationship with Russia; how can we not welcome that? Of course we welcome that."
