As host of the 2016 Tony Awards, James Corden opened the show by addressing the mass shooting in Orlando that had happened just hours earlier.
With his back to the theatre audience, Corden addressed the viewers at home with the simple message that 'Hate will never win.'
"To those affected by this atrocity, all we can say is that you are not on your own right now," Corden said. "Your tragedy is our tragedy.
