The friendly between Ireland and England on the weekend was a particularly dull affair, but the highlight of the day probably took place before kickoff.
Anyone who can remember the days of Jack Charlton's Ireland team will know the high esteem in which the man is held here on these shores, and ahead of the historic meeting between England and Ireland on Sunday, Big Jack himself was presented to the crowd at the Aviva Stadium.
As you might expect, everyone in attendance rose to their feet as a mark of respect to the manager who guided Ireland to two World Cups and the Euros in 1988, and the emotion could be felt throughout the ground, so much so that it brought a tear to Charlton's eye.
