A volcano in Chile erupted in the early hours of this morning, creating scenes that look like they're straight out of a Michael Bay movie and forced the evacuation of nearby residents.
The Villarrica volcano in southern Chile, which last erupted in 1985, began spewing lava and ash up to a kilometer high this morning and while there is no lava flow or ash spreading outward from the site, residents of the nearby towns of Pucon and Conaripe have been evacuated as a precaution, according to the BBC.
These residents have been posting astounding images and videos of the 2840m-high volcano to social media as they 'calmly' evacuated the area.
