A lot of people (this writer in particular) could sit down with a Rubix Cube for four hours and still not solve it.
Which is why we find it particularly baffling when we someone can solve in under five seconds.
Dutch man, Mats Valk, set a new world record over the weekend of 4.74 seconds. He managed to break the existing record of 4.90 seconds which was set by 14 year old Lucas Etter last year.
As you can see from the video below, Valk spent more time examining the cube than he did actually solving it.
Valk is only the second person ever to set a five second time. Here's hoping we can use Valk's feat as inspiration and set a sub five hour time this year.
