And when we say smashed it, we don't mean that in the Cheryl Cole X Factor way. He actually literally smashed it.
The bear enclosure in Minnesota Zoo had only opened on Monday morning when everything went down. According to a witness by the name of Robin Flicker who spoke to MPR News:
"The bear, I would say, was about three feet from the glass. It was just a short distance. But it was a very strong bear and a very large rock. And the first time he threw it, it cracked. And then he kept throwing it. I thought those bears are coming out of here"
Now according to Animal Collection Manager Tony Fisher, the bear only broke one of five layers of the glass, which is supposed to comfort us but doesn't really.
"You know, they just like destroying things," he told MPR. "They're always busy on our exhibit doing something, digging. We have trout in our pool for them to fish for, and that keeps them busy for quite a while, fishing for trout. But this morning he got a hold of a rock, which was not good."
Yeah, that doesn't really comfort us either. We've seen Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. We know what happens next.
