We're lucky enough to catch a falling star with our own eyes here every once in a while but even then seeing something this spectacular feels exceptionally rare.
Thankfully, with dash cameras becoming more and more common place, we're treated to sights like the one in this video from a Lisle, Illinois police department cruiser's dash camera which caught a fireball flying overhead last night.
The incredible light show was seen in many of the Chicago suburbs in the early hours of this morning, and shared on social media by the National Weather Service Chicago.
