From 1977 to 1993, Riccardo Gabrielo Patrese was a Formula One driver for various teams, including Alfa Romeo, Williams and Brabham.

When he retired at the start of the '94 season, Patrese had the then-longest career in Formula One history, with six Grand Prix wins to his name and a solid reputation for being one of the most comfortable and committed drivers out there.

This video was recorded in 2008 as part of an event for Honda at the Spanish Grand Prix and saw VIPs and the like taking a Honda Civic Type-R on a hot lap across the circuit. Patrese, with his wife Francesca Accordi, decided to give it a quick spin.

As Patrese begins to speed up a little, it's clear his wife isn't a fan or, for that matter, is aware of the hidden camera.

In fairness, they both seemed to be having a bit of a laugh and yes, it's not all that funny to drive fast. However, Patrese was a professional driver in a closed circuit and, as you see in the video, looked like he was driving his daily commute.

The wife, on the other hand, not so much.
