Ed O'Neill really is the ultimate dad. So much so that he doesn't recognise some of the biggest pop stars in the world when they ask for a picture with him. 

The Modern Family star was waiting for his flight in LAX when "I saw a woman approaching me,”

"She came up and said, ‘Oh, Mr. O’Neill, I love Modern Family. You’re my favorite on the show. Could you please?”

Being the nice guy that he is, Ed duly obliged and the young woman went ahead and shared it on her Twitter page. 

Ed discussed the incident while he joined his Finding Dory co-star Ellen DeGeneres on her show this week.
