Nina Pham is thought to be the first person to have contracted Ebola in the United States, and in this tearful video she thanks the medical staff who worked with her.
Just before Nina Pham left Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas headed for the National Institute of Health’s Clinical Center in Maryland where she would continue her treatment, she issued an emotional and heartfelt thanks to the staff who treated her. Dr. Gary Weinstein, who has been treating Pham since she was first admitted, recorded this conversation with her before she was discharged.
Weinstein thanked Pham, who was one of the nurses who treated Thomas Eric Duncan, who died from Ebola earlier this month, which unfortunately led to her contracting it.
Pham herself asked that the video be shared to the YouTube account so that people could see her heartfelt thanks to the team that she knows first-hand have worked so hard.
