And just when you thought Dakota Johnson's career trajectory couldn't get more 'controversial', she's after appearing in an ISIS skit for SNL which America did not find funny. The "It's not as if she wrote it, she just appeared in it" argument doesn't appear to be washing with people.
Here is the clip in question, which sees Dakota jovially leave her father's car (not played by Don Johnson, sadly. Although if he had taken the role people may have thought the it was a real commercial) to go to 'college' - which turns out to be ISIS.
Given what's happened of late, the last line is especially stomach churning, but isn't that what SNL does best? Not according to twitter...
'Just when you think its safe to go into water, #SNL spoofs #ISIS. Producers channeling #JeSuisCharlie? Vile. #nbc #DakotaJohnson

I LOVE Dakota and SNL, but I personally don't find the ISIS jokes funny.

Actually offended by the ISIS sketch... Is that seriously all you could come up with? @nbcsnl #SNL
