It's not often we get to see superstars give their actual opinions, and this is a great example of why.

Be it a sport star, an actor, or a musician, saying what you really think is just going to get you in trouble, hence the need for the videod press releases that pass for interviews these days.

Over the weekend however, we got to see Cristiano Ronaldo do an interview with the Spanish branch of CNN, and he wasn't afraid ti mince his words. When the interviewer asked about the corruption scandal currently engulfing FIFA, the Madrid star said “do you want me to be honest? It doesn’t worry me at all. I do my profession, my job, I give me all for my club … the rest doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care what happens on the outside.”

When followed up with a question about what the players do discuss, if not the problems FIFA are going through, Ronaldo claimed they talk "about music, about women, about fashion, about shoes, about suitcases/bags, about jewellery, about haircuts".

That didn't surprise us to be honest, but what did was his response to more questions about FIFA and the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Ronaldo, who was doing the interview to promote a new range of headphones he's endorsed by, wasn't having any of it.
