He sounded more like an "Oirisih" pirate than McGregor but bless them for trying.
SNL's Weekend Update continued its summer run on Thursdays last night and this week's episode included a visit from our very own Conor McGregor ahead of the Mayweather fight on Saturday.
Except of course it wasn't the actual McGregor (not that we think he wouldn't have been up for it) but SNL player Alex Moffat, who pulled out the full fur for his shoulders, polo necked up his knitwear and begorrahed and diddly-eyed for all he was worth while talking about those two Irish staples, drinking and fighting.
There are a few too any stereotypes thrown in here to really get behind it but there's at least one good joke that will genuinely make you laugh out loud.
