A college in Michigan has removed an iconic sculpture after students began getting naked and swinging on it a la Miley Cyrus. The steel pendulum, which has been there since 1995, was removed on Tuesday after videos went viral of students getting up close and personal with the ball. After teachers were made aware of the shenanigans they decided to remove the ball for 'health and safety' reasons. However this did not go down well, sparking major protests as the students felt their rights to recreate the 'Wrecking Ball' video on the campus landmark were being infringed upon. The movement 'reinstall the ball' was launched and students held a vigil where the ball used to be. The pendulum even has it's own Twitter, which you can check out here and pledge your support if you so wish.
