Filmmaker and actor Kevin Smith had a brush with death over the weekend when he suffered a “massive heart attack” after a show in New Jersey.
Smith, whose best-known credits include Chasing Amy and Clerks, tweeted about the incident on Monday and has now released a video blog detailing exactly what happened and giving an update on his current status.
It’s a pretty enthralling story and Smith is able to inject a fair amount of humour into it.
He goes into intricate detail about what his heart attack entailed and what happened to him when he arrived at the hospital. He also praised the staff at Glendale as well as thanking those who sent well wishes, giving a special shout out to Chris Pratt, who was criticised for encouraging people to pray for Smith.
