The 'Irish Takeover' currently underway in mixed martial arts is a hot topic at the moment but one name you might not have heard yet is that of Donegal's Joseph Duffy. The Cage Warriors lightweight is the last man to beat Conor McGregor, submitting the UFC star less than a minute into the first round when they faced off in November 2010. Nowadays, Duffy is seen as Irish MMA's biggest prospect and one of the best fighters on the European scene and tipped to be an eventual UFC superstar.
To show off some of his skills, Duffy recently paid a visit to Aviva Premiership team London Irish's training ground to see if they had any athletes capable of making the transition from rugby to MMA and you can check out the video above to see how he got on.
Joseph Duffy makes his next Cage Warriors appearance at CWFC 74 from the Copper Box Arena in London on November 15th against Mohsen Bahari.
