Ever wanted to be a top UFC fighter but don't really feel like training, dieting or, you know, getting punched in the face repeatedly? Well, you can do just that with the impending release of the new EA Sports UFC game which will come to both Playstation and Xbox this Spring.

The gameplay looks significantly improved from the previous series of THQ-produced UFC releases but that's the least we'd expect with EA at the helm, the undisputed heavyweight champions of videogame sports franchises responsible for the multi-million selling Madden and FIFA franchises.

The problem EA Sports were faced with was trying to create an authentic video game experience which matches the frenetic pace inside the Octagon - a feature of Mixed Martial Arts which wasn't accurately simulated in the previous THQ games. We've yet to get our mitts on this game but, judging by the trailer anyway, it seems that finally someone has created a video game that this multifaceted sport deserves.

Oh, and yes - Conor McGregor is in it.
