Prepare for another Facebook and Twitter feed-pocalypse, because this year's version of the Ice Bucket Challenge is coming and it goes by the name of the 'Twizzler Challenge'.
What exactly does this Twizzler challenge entail? All it involves is two people, one string of liquorice and a whole lot of enthusiasm to go at it simultaneously á la Lady and the Tramp.
It was all kicked off by "Today" and "Morning Joe" host Willie Geist and Uzo Aduba of "Orange Is the New Black" fame on Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars" last week, which raised funds to help support people with autism. And now the trend is continuing with the 'Twizzler Challenge', which Geist did on The Meredith Vieira Show (who promptly donated $5,000 to New York Collaborates For Autism) and passed onto the other daily shows on US TV.

And the challenge is already spreading across the States, clogging up news feeds everywhere (which is fine as long as people are actually donating to charity and not just jumping on the bandwagon). Thankfully Twizzlers are quite rare a find on this side of the pond, although we reckon people will be start doing it with those really long sour strip sweets you can get in the €uro shop. Maybe Tubs and Ray D'Arcy can start us off. It can't get worse than this.

Plus, it's for charity, so everyone wins, right?
