Our well-tanned cousins down below have been sparked into a national debate about marriage equality following our passing of the vote last weekend.
Naturally, this has brought up some pretty backward types who have been enjoying a nice dig at both us and marriage equality in general.
The latest example is Grahame Morris, a former political adviser to the ruling Liberal party who once suggested that former Prime Minister Julia Girard should be "kicked to death" by her own party.

On a televised debate about the growing campaign for Marriage Equality in Australia, Morris made a few comments about Ireland's historic vote.
In the video below, he said that Irish people "can't grow potatoes, they’ve got a mutant lawn weed as their national symbol and they can’t verbalise the difference between tree and the number three."
He also went on to say that the Marriage Referendum held in Ireland was stupid and that the Irish electorate wasn't ready for it.
That's a bloody outrage it is! I'm gonna take this all the way to the Proime Ministah!

It's worth pointing out that recent opinion polls show that Australians are in favour of Marriage Equality and social media campaigns have begun to bring forth a vote on the matter.
