UFC superstar Ronda Rousey continues her crossover into mainstream Hollywood by landing her first starring role in a movie, and it's a big one.
Previously the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion has featured in small roles in Expendables 3, Fast and Furious 7 and Entourage. But now, the increasingly popular athlete will take over the role made famous by Patrick Swayze in Road House.
The original is a genuine, cheesy-but-brilliant, 80s classic and featured Swayze as a 'cooler' (a bouncer) who runs afoul of a local crime syndicate when he attempts to clean up the establishment he's running the door on.
See below.
Rousey has been cast in Mile 22 opposite Mark Wahlberg, and will also feature in the big screen biography of her life - My Fight Your Fight.
