*UPDATED* Lost's Dominic Monaghan (the only Hobbit I'd consider doing, fact) apparently is "not interested" in being mates with Matthew Fox because he "beats women."
The actor made the accusation about his one time co-star after a fan of the two encouraged Dominic to get Matthew to join Twitter, saying "Holla at matthew fox and tell him to get a twitter i beg of you."
Monaghan prompltly replied: "He beats women. No thanks."
When his follower probed further, saying: "WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE GOOD TIMES YOU HAD TOGETHER?!"
He curtly retorted: "How do you know we ever did? you don't know either of us. he beats women. not isolated incidents. often. not interested."
Jezebel.com added: "A Lost fan going by the user name of Fate 815 snapped, 'Spreading an accusation that EVEN eww-TMZ didn’t make… How classy. Hope Matthew Fox sues you for defamation.' And continued: 'He knows nothing, he’s just spreading rumors based on TMZ (!), hates Matthew Fox for personal reasons & bashes him.' Another fan sighed, 'I loved Dom but he just lost so much respect from me.' As for Monaghan, who is not exactly known for talking shit about people, these were last words (on Twitter, anyhow) on the subject: "It’s very difficult to sue someone for speaking the truth."
Sources told TMZ that the pair have not spoken for years, and they never had any sort of argument so it's baffling to Matthew as to why Dominic would launch the online rant. Apart from getting himself a rake load of column inches.
Some of you may recall that a female bus driver from Cleveland, Ohio accused Fox last year of punching her in "the vagina" after she refused chauffer him back to his hotel.
He denied the allegation and no criminal charges were filed, however he countersued after the claim.
