If you've been wondering why the 'like' button on Twitter is exploding with a little fanfare and confetti today, here's why.
Twitter is celebrating its tenth birthday today and is marking the occasion with '#LoveTwitter' and changing up the animation on the like button for all 320 million Twitter users who send 500 million Tweets per day and 200 billion Tweets every year.
Twitter have also decided to share some throwbacks of their own today with an evolution GIF of their logo as well as celebrating milestones on the platform over the last decade.
And if that wasn't enough, they've gone through everything by the numbers which are nothing short of astounding.
As for what it means to us here, the top ten most popular Irish Twitter accounts are dominated by musicians and sports stars, with Niall Horan and Rory McIlroy topping the list with a combined following of over 27 million (although most of that is down to Niall's One Direction following for which he claims 24.8 million followers).
