Dear John Travolta, I was a big fan of Grease, Saturday Night Fever and I guess Pulp Fiction was pretty damn good too. That was a long time ago though and lately, you make my skin crawl. Your spray on hair looks like it was knicked off a little Lego man and your overt display of affection for your wife (Kelly Preston) at last night's LA premiere of your latest movie, Savages, was just a tad desperate. Try as you might, no amount of PDA's are going to take from the fact that you are currently being sued for sexually assaulting this man AND for allegedly making false claims about a sex book author's mental health in a bid to bring the writer's credibility into question. Correct me if I'm wrong but in light of recent events, it's doubtful that a single person looking at these pics of you shoving your "happy" marriage down our throats is thinking "nawww, aren't they so cute together!?" Nevertheless, thank you for making an otherwise uneventful red carpet premiere that bit more interesting.
Regards, Caroline.
Travolta's latest flick, as per IMDB tells the story of pot growers Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch) who are forced to face off against the Mexican drug cartel when they, the baddies, kidnap their shared girlfriend, played by Blake Lively. While most other cast members were in attendance - Salma Hayek (looking amazing herself) Emile Hirsch, Taylor Kitsch, Benicio Del Toro and more - it was Blake, who most eyes were fixed upon (discounting Travolta and Kelly Preston's soft porn exhibition, of course). Another starlet who I can admit to having confusing feelings for, Ryan Reynold's girlfriend (HATE HER) wowed the crowd as she channeled old Hollywood glamour in this corseted Zuhair Murad couture tan gown, which served to accentuate her teeny tiny waist and make the rest of us regret that second doughnut we ate after lunch (again, HATE HER). I've never in my life experienced a worse case of hair envy. Have you? What's more, unlike Cheryl Cole who'd probably be sporting leopard print jim jams were it not for her style team, Blake here doesn't even HAVE one. No stylist! So she's just this beautiful, this stylish, this successful AND living with Ryan Reynolds all of her own accord. Well played, Lively, well played. (I still hate you though.)
Other guests included Angelina Jolie's daddy Jon Voight, Helen Hunt, and Gene Simmons and his family, among others.
