The former Blink 182 drummer and DJ Adam Goldstein (AKA Nicole Richie's ex-fiance) were taking off in a Lear jet in South Carolina, where they had performed a student gig, when the plane "overran the runway and collided with several lights before bursting into flames." The pair managed to jump out of the aircraft while four of their co-passengers - Chris Baker, Charles Still, Sarah Lemmon and James Bland - were not as fortunate.

William Owens, a 60-year-old delivery driver, said: "I noticed two guys who were on fire and it looked like a dance… They stood there and it's like - didn't know what to do. None of us did." According to Associated Press, "Goldstein had stripped off his own shirt and was helping Barker strip naked, said Owens, who was able to identify the men Saturday night because of news reports that showed Barker's extensive tattoos. Owens said Goldstein told him four other people were on board the jet, but the flames were too intense to get close."

Travis suffered second and third degree burns to his torso while Goldstein has burns to his arm and head. Both are expected to make a "full recovery" within a year. The mental scars may last a wee bit longer.
