Admit it, we'd all like to.
West Stow Pods, an English glamping company, are building a hobbit sized home in Suffolk, London, and are using Kickstarter to fund the completion of the project.
The 'Poddit Hole House' will be built with Toklien Society member Alan Baxter to ensure the dwelling will be as authentic as possible. The house will include two bedrooms, one kitchen, a bathroom, and a log burner, just in case you have any rings and such that might need burning.
The project aims to keep the house as sustainable as possible. Hartwyn Natural Building is a specialist in that field, and will be using eco-friendly materials such as rammed earth, straw bales, lime plaster to create the abode, as well low carbon power generation for under floor heating and hot water.
Now, there's no point in us telling you that we have the faintest idea about what any of that means, but it certainly sounds good. The project needs to raise £50,000 from its Kickstarter account, but so far the total lies at just £6,000.
If your a big Tolkien fan, or else you fancy pledging some cash, you can donate anything from £2 to £1,000. T-shirts come in a £15, which seems a little steep to us considering £80 gets you a night stay in the Poddit Hole, or else you could spring for the two night stayand guided tour of the local Anglo-Saxon village, but that'll set you back £250.
