Forget about all the own goals and the embarrassing OTT dives that have taken place over the past 7 days; this is undoubtedly the biggest (and most cringey) fail of the World Cup so far.
When you're playing in the biggest football tournament in the world - and representing your country in front of an audience of millions, no less - you probably shouldn't focus your attention on trying to become a meme.
However, that's exactly what Iranian player Milad Mohammadi tried to do last night when his team played Spain.
Mohammadi tried to execute a front-forward flip as he was taking a throw-in in the dying moments of the match, failed miserably, and ended up throwing the ball in normally.
CRINGE.
Oh yes - and his team lost 1-0.
Watch it below:
Milad Mohammadi arrived in Russia with the sole intention of becoming a meme and I have a lot of time for that. #IRNSPA pic.twitter.com/siZiBaBsgG
