Internet games in general are infuriatingly addictive. Anyone remember Robot Unicorn for example?
Well this new game www.higherlowergame.com pits two google search terms together and gets you to pick which one you think is higher or lower. You get it right you proceed to the next round. You get it wrong, it's all over and thus the screaming and hair pulling begins.
You may get some beginners luck and go on a run like we did, bagging a high score of 11 but it's now two hours later and we've yet to relive those heights.
The game also makes you worry about humanity in general. For example "Segways" (14,800 searches) is higher than "World Hunger" (590 searches).
Our favourite part of all though is that Google itself has had 55,600,000 google searches.
We'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that the game is extremely addictive. Don't say we didn't warn you when you find you've lost three hours of your work day.
