Meet Scott Robert Esser, one of the world's worst criminals.
The criminal mastermind ‘butt-dialled’ the police from his back pocket when he was in the middle of talking to a friend about their plans to burgle a local property.
The 42-year-old's call was passed through to police after operators heard him chatting about his plans to break into and ransacking homes for items to steal.
Esser was indicted on burglary, theft and other charges in connection with burglary in Stafford and Branchburg, New Jersey.
Unsurprisingly, he was also arrested in July as well, although he can't blame bad luck for that one. Police seized jewellery, electronics, bonds and a gun in his car that time, which are probably a few things you don't want to carry around with you if you're known to the authorities. His bail was set at $100,000 hat time, but we've a feeling it'll probably jump up considerable this time around.
