Much of the United States has been hit by a huge snowstorm, but perhaps worst affected is the Upstate New York area.
Thanks to social media we can get a look at what conditions are like on the ground there, as some places have seen nearly five feet of snow fall in the space of a few days, and the stormy conditions have been blamed for the deaths of at least seven people.
It is perhaps easier to understand the scope and the intensity of the snowy conditions when you get a look at some of the images that have been shared online of the incredible snowfall, that has left people trapped in their homes for the last few days.
