What a time to be alive.
If you're in Galway and panicking over how you'll have time to get your ashes this coming Wednesday, you can relax, as a church in Glenamaddy has come up with an ash and dash plan to save you from your sins.
The pastoral council of the town have decided to move with the times and operate a drive-thru service for people who don't have time to attend mass but wish to receive ashes. You go in one gate, the priest does the job, bing bang bosh, penance paid.
It will run from 8am to 9.30am outside St Patrick's church in Glenamaddy, according to The Farmer's Journal.
They will also be setting up a drive-thru Lenten Petition box.
But no, there will be no fries with that.
