If you're looking to the One Direction movie as much as we are (we tried to resist but then Zayn made his mum cry and it was all too much), we've some sad news for you.

According to director Morgan Spurlock any footage or reference to Taylor Swift has been left on the cutting room floor, so we won't be getting any juicy insights into what went down between Swift and Styles or any bitter exchanges that may or may not have been caught on camera. We won't even get to see Harry call being in a relationship with Taylor 'a pain in the arse'. Boo.

According to Spurlock the reasoning behind cutting any and all references to Swift was because the pair had actually broken up before they began filming at the start of the year. And according to a source who talked to The Mirror, we were never going to see her and 'There was no way Taylor would appear. Fans don’t want to see it. He is done with talking about her and the management do not want to annoy Taylor any more. This was a no-brainer.'

This comes after Zayn told Total Film that the boys have 'total control' of the project, so we're guessing Harry just called it and decided that Taylor had enough ammo and writing material without giving her more fodder to throw at him in public. He also assured everyone that what you'll see in the movie is 100% them and none of it scripted, comparingit to their presence online. 'On twitter you only have 140 characters, you can't get personality across in ten minute interviews. It's going to be a lot more of how we interact and how we're chilled out in the dressing room and it will be nice to see us as we are.'
