Now we're not really fans of putting animals in clothes generally, but when they're this stylish, it's hard to ignore the fact that they're actually better dressers than us.

Photo and video sharing services such as Instagram and Vine have become hugely popular platforms for sharing content, and it's not only making stars out of people, but also from their pets. As John Oliver pointed out, we can all learn a valuable lesson from keyboard cat about animals being way more interesting in general, and that's certainly the case for these few cool customers who have leveraged the power of social media to its full effect.

These animals are not just sharing pictures for the hell of it, some of them have even landed proper contracts out of this and are making some serious cash (we presume) to model products from designers and clothing companies, showing that no matter what species you are, it pays to dress well. Here are a few of our favourite animal models (animodels?) of the moment who are on their way to superstardom.

1) Menswear Dog

This is the Man Cave, afterall, and Menswear Dog is so hot right now that we had to start the list with him. Bodhi, a five-year-old Shiba Inu, is a natural in front of the camera, which has led to him securing a whole load of gigs, from Brooks Brothers to ASOS, and even the odd watch brand, despite the fact that he clearly can't actually wear a watch and that they perceive time in a totally different way to us. No matter, everyone come see how good he looks.

He pulls off any number of styles with consummate ease, and on a good month will apparently rake in about $15,000. Sweet gig.

2) Digby van Winkle

Digby has style, there's no doubt about that, and between him and his partner in crime Aloysius Van Winkle, across all their different social media profiles they've got a huge following, with nearly 300,000 on Instagram alone.

They also know how to snap a good selfie, too.

3) Chango the Handsome Pittie

Given that today is Chango's birthday, we could hardly leave him off our list of well-dressed pooches, it would have been terribly insulting.

Anyway, he's a seriously cool customer, and we're not ashamed to admit that we have taken some inspiration from him in the run up to Halloween, as he's been showing off some quality costumes.

4) Jamon the Pig

Pigs can be stylish too, as Jamon (a cruel name for a pig, we might add) proves on a regular basis, even in some looks that could be hard to pull off for the average human.

The Brazilian pig had high hopes for the football team this summer, and while they were dashed in memorable fashion, that didn't stop him from showing some national pride at the time.

5) Toast Meets World

When it comes to stylish bitches (literally), Toast is the leader of the pack with an incredibly distinctive look. When she was rescued all her teeth were in pretty bad condition and had to be removed, which means that her tongue hangs out almost all the time.

Her owner, Joshua Onassis, thinks that's what gives her the edge though, telling The Daily Mail that "her tongue is like Cindy Crawford's mole, like Jennifer Lopez's butt; it's a special trait that separates her from all other dogs". With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, she's not letting it hold her back, anyway, and even launched her own brand of bags during the summer.

Being the Toast of the town is hard work, but she's definitely living the good life.
