If you walked through Temple Bar this morning and noticed a higher number of people than usual with beards, then there was a good reason for it. And no, it's not because they were releasing some sort of new album on vinyl.
This morning was the open casting call for extras for the show Vikings, and in total they're going to need 8,000 people to turn up to shoot a number of scenes in the coming months.
As a result of the sheer size of the casting call, there has been a lot of media attention given to it already, and it seems as thought it's paying off, as there was already a huge queue that was taking over much of Temple Bar by 9.30 this morning.
There doesn't seem to be much of an order to the queuing system, however, and thanks to our highly scientific calculations and state of the art computer technology, we managed to get this accurate* diagram of what the queue looks like.
*best guess, in all fairness
If you were thinking of joining the queue, then you might want to bring a flask of tea and a sandwich.
