It's funny how the meeedja works. Five minutes ago, Emily Nakanda was the 15-year-old X-Factor contestant who did a banal rendition of Britney's I'm Not a Girl last week. Now, thanks to a press release I just received saying - "In response to the stories in the papers this week regarding Emily Nakanda we have conducted our own investigations into the matter and we can confirm that she has chosen to withdraw herself from the competition with immediate effect" - Emily Nakanda is now the star of multiple Happy Slapping videos. Seemingly the first video, which sees the "singing star make a sick boast to a terrified teenager that she will blind him - as a pal wields a six-inch kitchen knife", was dismissed by an X Factor spokesperson as a YouTube clip clearly depicting "Emily and her friends messing about, although Emily admits this is in poor taste." Then a second video surfaced showing "the 15-year-old launching an attack in her school uniform. In it she gets the blonde girl in a headlock, swings her round by the hair, punches and batters her and shoves her to the ground." Thanks to a press release attempting to dress up an issue I knew nothing about, you all now know what a little scumbag she is.
