The young man who was found dead in the actresses' pool while she was holidaying in France with daughters, Tallulah and Scout, has been identified as Edenilson Steven Valle. He was reportedly an LA resident, who did not know how to swim.
According to Us weekly, "his connection to Moore and her staff members still remains unclear." The report added that: "Police also told Us that the only personnel present at the actress' home were staff members. Authorities said there were only five people at the house when the incident occurred, and it appears that Valle fell into the pool at night and wasn't found until the next morning... Police arrived at Moore's home shortly after 5:15 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department told KTLA on Monday. By the time authorities arrived, however, Valle was "beyond medical help."

The Irish Mirror are reporting that there had been "a small party" at the residence. A friend of Edenilson, 22-year-old Dulce Flores, reportedly told The Daily Mail: "Edenilson asked me if I wanted to go, but I couldn't. I'm now so upset because I could've been there to save him. I wish I was there to save him.. It's such a tragic waste of life, and something like that should never have happened to him."
Edenilson was reportedly teetotal, so alcohol was not a factor.
52-year-old Moore released the following statement yesterday: "I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young mans family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time."
