It might be time to get the sunscreen out, we're expecting some warm weather this bank holiday weekend.
The confluence of good weather with a bank holiday weekend is so rare here in Ireland that it should probably be noted in the history books, but it looks like we might have that to look forward to this time around, according to Met Eireann.
They're predicting that the decent weather that we've been experiencing over the past few days is set to continue, mostly, with the odd bit of cloud or rain mixed in. Friday will start misty but improve in the afternoon, with the West expected to get the best of the weather and temperatures up to 19°C. That good weather will spread to the East on Saturday, with all areas getting dry and sunny spells, with temperatures set to hit 20°C. Sunday will also be good, but the inevitable rain will start to creep in a little bit, although it will stay mild, around 18°C.
The Monday won't be as good, with temperatures dropping to between 14°C-17°C, and there may be some more rain. In worse news, they're also predicting a high chance of conditions that are conducive to potato blight, so keep an eye on your veggie garden. If you're out in the sun, don't forget to take care of your skin with some sun screen and proper protection too.
