After attending an illegal rave in Croydon, a young teen severed his finger but decided to keep partying.
We like to party as much as the next person, but when you lose your finger, we reckon it's time to call it a day. Not so one 16-year-old teen who decided that, having paid £10 into an illegal rave in Croydon, he was going to get his money's worth even if it meant that he was going to lose his finger.
In an interview with Vice, the teen who has been going by the alias of "Josh", said that he was sober when the incident happened, and that he had tried to rip a fire alarm off the wall, but as the casing was ripped and damaged he got his little finger caught in it and had it torn off as a result.

He didn't head straight for the hospital however, as he stayed on at the party. Yes, he stayed, for some unknown reason, and kept dancing. Here, Josh explains his thought process:
"The bass was hard, so I just ripped off my top, wrapped it around my finger and tied it up as tight as I could and skanked it out for half an hour. My mentality was, 'I’ve only been here for an hour, I’ve paid £10 for this night, I’ve lost my little finger – am I seriously going to go? Nah, I’m going to skank until I can’t skank any more".
His friends eventually dragged him to the paramedics, where they poured medical acid on his finger to cleanse the wound and lower the risk of septicemia, before he was taken off to hospital, from where he posted the Instagram. As for his little finger? It went off into the crowd, and he'll have to go without. Apparently some of the others who attended were seen playing catch with it later that night.
So the next time you think about quitting the party early, think about this lad... and then definitely go home to bed while you still have all your digits.
