What do you do when you're career is a no-go and everyone thinks you're just a trainwreck who hangs out with teenagers (yes, we're talking about you Jedward)? Why you have an absolute meltdown in a shop when they don't give you a discount, that's what. At least it is if you live in the addled mind of one Tara Reid.
The 'American Pie' actress and general delinquent is said to have started shouting erratically during a shopping spree in an All Saints over the weekend when she was refused a discount, with an eye witness telling The New York Post: 'She was screaming. She had to be escorted out by security. She seemed drunk.' Now that could be completely fabricated, but when it's been your default state for most the last decade, it's hard to convince people otherwise.
Tara was apparently shopping for an outfit to wear to Coachella at the outlet on Robertson Boulevard when she became 'enraged' at being asked to pay full price, and then 'demanded a discount', claiming she deserved it 'because of her fame'. Now her reps strongly denied the claims when the New York Post newspaper asked for a comment, insisting the paper wasn't 'Team Tara' and explaining why the actress should be entitled to a discount saying: 'Tara gets a huge discount with All Saints in the UK and Paris because she's a walking billboard for them. She gets photographed ... so they give her huge hook-ups. We told them we get a discount, and they said they'd email the press team. She was definitely not drunk. People love to say Tara's hammered and this and ... whoever is saying that is not on Team Tara.'
Team Tara. We didn't know there was a Team Tara, beyond Tara herself. Staff at the store checked whether the actress could get a discount, but Tara 'flounced' out empty-handed when her request was denied. Bear in mind that Tara is 37 and not a stroppy teenager, so the idea of her 'flouncing' is less bitchy teen and more delusional nightmare.
