Oscar winner Casey Affleck's wife has reportedly filed for divorce, according to court documents obtained by People.
The couple publicly announced their separation, which occurred in November 2015, last March. They had been married for nearly ten years and according to in a statement given to People, “remain very close friends” having “amicably separated.”
The two met back in 1995 after Summer's brother Joaquin worked with Casey's brother Ben on To Die For. They became a couple in 2000 and were engaged three years later.
Summer, whose siblings include actors Joaquin Phoenix and the late River Phoenix, told the court she was seeking spousal support in addition to joint physical and legal custody of their two sons, 13-year-old Indiana and nine-year-old Atticus.
She cited 'irreconcilable differences' in her split from the actor.
