It's Autumn, which means only one thing.
No, forget about school starting, the leaves falling off the trees, and the rush to get things ready for Christmas(don't act like you haven't started already). The only thing we're concerned about when it comes to the seasons changing is the new flavours Starbucks release to coincide with them, and this Autumn is no different.
We thought they'd just go with another pumpkin flavour, seeing as it's the season and all, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte is delicious, but their latest creation, the Toasted Graham Latte isn't so simple.
The drink is described as “an espresso beverage with steamed milk, flavors of graham and sweet cream and finished with a sprinkling of cinnamon graham crumbles.” Sounds good to us.
The company’s R&D Manager, Yoke Wong, spoke about how and why the ideas came about. “I thought about the back-to-school season and looked at the latest food and beverage trends,”
"What I found to be quite popular in the U.S. is the taste of cereal milk, the delicious leftovers in your breakfast bowl.”
Sounds good, although it might remind us of some horribly early school mornings. We're not when(or if, but if we riot I'm sure they'll bring it over) the drink will be released here, but we're already factoring it into our meal plans. Who needs breakfast when you have breakfast flavoured coffee?
